Nuccio Faro
Volcanological Guide
He was born in Pedara, at the foot of the majestic Volcano. Always a passionate visitor to it, he scrutinizes its most secret corners. Since 1974, he follows all its eruptions and evolutions. He studied geology, volcanology, botany and zoology, to fascinate and involve who rely on him to know the most remote secrets.
In addition to being a volcanological guide he was President of the CAI (Italian Alpine Club) section of Pedara, alpine rescue technician, an hiker and naturalistic operator of the CAI central commission. He has organized trekking in the Himalayas (Khumbu valley), in the Amazon, the Apennines and the Dolomites, as well as several Italian and foreign volcanoes.
